WHAT IS REIKI
Reiki is a complementary therapy for the relief of stress, depression and physical aches and pains. It is used to stimulate the body’s own natural healing processes, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, increasing the energy flow throughout the whole body. This is why after a Reiki treatment many people feel refreshed, relaxed, clearer and more content in themselves. Reiki energy is transferred through the practitioner’s hands resting gently on the recipient’s body. Sensations of warmth or tingling, or nothing at all may be experienced,  Reiki is perfectly safe and can be used alongside  any other medical treatments; it can never do harm  the client takes the energy through the practitioner,  only the amount needed is taken.
DO HORSES RESPOND TO REIKI?
Horses love Reiki, I have used reiki on numerous horses and now they wait for me to arrive the owners saying that they are different alert and expectant as if they no I am on my way.  I have been a Reiki healer for 2 years and a spiritual healer for 20 years before that. I am a Reiki Master, and area representative of the UK Reiki Federation. I am qualified and registered to heal and teach Reiki to humans and heal animals. I do all small animals and they all respond well . some cases that I have helped are,  a show dog with a damaged leg, a cat that never went outside. two dogs with agression problems, to name a few. Horses that have been helped have been in pain with their legs, aches, back ache, box walkers, nervousness, difficult to ride, cold backed, and many more. It is also used for maintance and well being the horse/ dog/cat ect does not have to be ill to have Reiki.  . 

Horses tend to respond well to Reiki energy, as it is natural to them in that they recognise this loving, healing energy,” he says. “It is a gentle, holistic healing approach, which works by harmonising the mind and emotions, as well as accelerating healing at a physical level. Some riders in the horse world are  aware of the link between the horse and the rider’s own thought and emotional processes. In order to have the best relationship, both horse and rider need to be in balance and harmony with one another’s auric fields at every level, in order to function at their highest potential.

WHAT DOES REIKI DO?
Reiki can be effective in healing cuts, burns and sports injuries after the initial veterinary treatment. For stress and in emotional related problems, it can be most beneficial in encouraging a horse to relax. Many horses retain traumas from their past and are not able to let this go. With the help of Reiki they will finally be able to work things through and enjoy life to the full. Your relationship with your horse will become closer and you will, find that you begin to understand each other on a much deeper level.
